About Coach

Athletics, sports and being a part of a team have been a major part of my life growing up. I played field hockey, basketball, soccer, and softball in high school. I continued my athletic career in college playing Division 2 field hockey. When I graduated and returned home from college I was missing that competitiveness I had my whole life through sports. I started signing up for any physical activity that I could. I ran a half marathon, did multiple triathlons, competed in a bodybuilding show, Tough Mudders, and Go Rucks. Fast forward, I run into our fearless leader Dave at Gold Gyms. He tells me about this “Crossfit” thing he’s doing in his garage at his house and asks if I would like to come over and try it (weirddddddd). Naturally, I said yes and the rest is history. CrossFit has filled all the voids: being a part of a team, competition, challenging yourself, pushing barriers, etc. I have been doing CrossFit for 11 years now, and coaching for 10. Crossfit845 has been a consistent part of my life for the last 11 years. I am also a Physical Education teacher at John Jay High School.

Turning Point

Motivation & Passion

My favorite part about coaching is the relationships I have with our athletes. I love that I can come in and give our members the best hour of their day. I enjoy watching them accomplish things they didn't think they could and push the limits they have (most of them being mental barriers). I love coaching our adult classes but my passion is working with athletes and teens!
