Training Has always been part of my life. Dating back to high school where off season training was part of every football, baseball, and wrestling season. After finishing a successful college baseball career I often searched for the ideal training program. In 2012 I found Crossfit. It became a passion to not only improve my own fitness, but to also help others. I started coaching CrossFit in 2013. Coaching and training became a constant in my life. I’ve qualified for the CrossFit games 4 times. Masters age groups 2014-2019-2020-2021. I hold a level 2 coaching certificate. I also hold certificates in: CrossFit weightlifting Aerobic capacity ( Chris Hinshaw) Power monkey gymnastics (Dave Durante Olympic gymnast) Comptrain competitors camp ( Ben Bergeron CFNE) Outside of CrossFit I’ve been married 29 years to my wife Michelle. She’s the glue that holds our family together. I’ve been teaching physical education for the past 27 years. I coached high school baseball for 13 seasons. Wrestling for 5 seasons and football for 7 seasons. I enjoy playing golf fishing and hiking with my dog Maddie.
I had a lifelong goal of playing professional baseball. I was committed to the process and worked tirelessly at my craft. After entering the major league draft in 1991 I fell short of accomplishing my goal. It took some time for me to find my passion after that, but luckily teaching and coaching was the right path for me. Someone once said “if u love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life”.
When I found CrossFit as a training methodology I knew it was perfect for me as an athlete. The more that I learned the more I wanted to help others experience the same benefits that I was experiencing. 11 years later I’m still learning and still eager to spread the CrossFit message!
